Three years into my recovery from Alcoholism, I realized that I was still holding onto resentments towards my Mom. My sponsor always tells me to write about what I am experiencing, so I started writing. The result is a book that tells my story. It's a story about finding myself, learning how to live on life's terms, and letting go of old pain.
While I have been affected by all of the issues discussed here, Alcoholism, addiction, mental illness, abuse and neglect. I am not an expert on any of these subjects. I believe that talking about it makes it smaller, gives them less power. There is strength in knowing that we are not suffering alone. Together we can heal.
